Tip: The "(x)" shown above is shorthand for a range of last letters on CS6200DVR1 chip numbers this circuit board can replace.

Please note: A list of chip numbers this circuit board can replace is specified in the CROSS REFERENCE VERIFICATION section below.

Please Note: The numbers on the new circuit board you receive may be different and the components may look slightly different but it will still connect the same and it is a fully compatible OEM replacement , unless specified otherwise in the ADDITIONAL CROSS REF., COMPATIBILITY & INSTALLATION section below.

Cross Reference Verification
Step 1 of 2:
Tip: Locate the serial number on the old circuit board being replaced.
Tip: The serial number is on a sticker on the old circuit board (not the box).
Tip: The serial number is shown on the sticker preceded by S/N or P/N (part number).
Tip: The image above shows an example of a serial number sticker (click image to enlarge it).

Verify the serial number on the old circuit board being replaced is in this list.

Serial Numbers:
  • 55739
  • BAL55739

Step 2 of 2:
Tip: Locate the chip number on the circuit board you are replacing.
Tip: The whole chip number is on a sticker located on the circuit board (not the box).
Tip: This is a different sticker than the serial number sticker.
Tip: The chip number sticker usually has two lines of text and the top line is the whole chip number (the bottom line is not needed).
Tip: See image above for an example of a chip number sticker and where they're typically found on the circuit board (click the image to enlarge it).

Verify the chip number on the circuit board being replaced placed is in this list.

Chip Numbers:

Additional Cross Ref., Compatibility & Installation
Installation instructions:
No soldering needed.
Failure to follow these instructions may damage the circuit board and other equipment.

Make sure all white wires on the new replacement circuit board are in the same locations as the old board resepectively.
To clarify, if a wire on the new replacement circuit board is not plugged into the same place as it is on the old circuit board then move the wire on the new replacement circuit board to the same location as where it is on the old circuit board.
If the new replacement circuit board has a wire that is not on your old circuit board ignore it.
Do not add any wires to the new replacement circuit board.

Make sure all dip switches on the new replacement circuit board are in the OFF position unless if the existing wiring diagram indicates otherwise.
Tip: wiring diagram is found on the inside cover of the control box the circuit board is mounted in.
Tip: usually these switches are all in the "OFF" position, however, it is very imporant to make sure and set them according to your systems's wiring diagram Dip Switch settings.
System Control Box Serial Numbers
Tip: The system control box is usually located below the hot tub and the circuit board mounts inside of it.

Please note: System control box serial numbers cannot identify a circuit board.
Please note: Do not use this section for confirmation of making the correct purchase.

The Balboa 55739 CS6200DVR1(x) circuit board can be found in the following hot tub system control boxes (but not limited to).

System Control Box Serial Numbers:
  • 55738
  • VS5-CS6200DV-CDAH
  • VS501DVH
Tip: When replacing a hot tub circuit board, testing the heater and replacing it (if bad), is recommended before installing or applying voltage on a new circuit board.
Note: A continuity test is not a sufficient heater test. Contact us by phone for more details on testing a heater.
See RELATED PRODUCTS below for heater replacements.

Tip: Burned circuit boards or burned heater relays are often due to a loose electrical connection or a bad heater or both.
If all connections are tight and if the heater is good then the heater relays are probably old and worn out.
If a burned relay was powering a pump and all electrical connections are tight then the relay is probably old and worn out or the pump might be bad or going bad or all three.
Replacing the heater and/or pump with a new one is recommended if any of those scenarios apply.
