Additional Cross Ref., Compatibility & Installation
Changes in functionality:
This replacement circuit board is compatible with the original topside control panel, however, depending on which control panel you have, the the button order may change after installation.

For example, pushing the Light button may turn the Jet on/off.
Pushing the Jet button may turn the Light on/off.
(The ability to ability to turn on and off the jets and light is still there.)

Another example, if you have two buttons for adjusting the temperature (Up and Down), these buttons may become combined into one button.
(The ability to adjust the temperature is still there.)

This replacement circuit board does NOT have a plug on it for a stereo.
If your hot tub system has a stereo, the plug must be cut off.
Then reconnect those cut wires as follows:

For 120V stereo:
Connect the Green wire to GROUND.
Connect the White wire to NEUTRAL
Connect Black wire to RED A/C

For 240V stereo:
Connect the Green wire to GROUND.
Connect the White wire to RED A/C
Connect Black wire to BLACK A/C

If you don' have a stereo then connect as before.

Everything else functions and connects as before.
Tip: When replacing a hot tub circuit board, testing the heater and replacing it (if bad), is recommended before installing or applying voltage on a new circuit board.
Note: A continuity test is not a sufficient heater test. Contact us by phone for more details on testing a heater.

Tip: Burned circuit boards or burned heater relays are often due to a loose electrical connection or a bad heater or both.
If all connections are tight and if the heater is good then the heater relays are probably old and worn out.
If a burned relay was powering a pump and all electrical connections are tight then the relay is probably old and worn out or the pump might be bad or going bad or all three.
Replacing the heater and/or pump with a new one is recommended if any of those scenarios apply.

Tip: Items shown in RELATED PRODUCTS below have also been found in hot tub systems with Balboa 52940 PHX05R1(x) circuit boards.
